Sometime I find it easy to have a healthy meal but when it comes to the healthy snacks, I often fall down from the wagon. I used to grab what ever is available at the moment and most of the time those were either high calorie or high sugar food. So to keep myself on healthy track, I often prepared my snacks ahead. One of my go-to snacks is Hummus. I am going to show you today how easy to make hummus at home but not just any hummus, my favorite Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus.
Video for this recipe is on the bottom of this Post.
Why I love Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus:
Well I love all kind of hummus but roasted red bell pepper hummus is my favorite. I love this flavor for various reason. Red bell pepper has a natural sweetness so it gives plain hummus an instant yummy flavor. By adding red bell pepper you can increase nutritional values of your hummus too.
I love this hummus because it requires less ingredients and I can throw everything on my food processor and its done; no hustle. This Hummus not only save time, it saves money too. With the price of store bought hummus, you can make 3 times more.

Now lets get back to the process. To be honest, here is not that much to say about process. wash and cut Red bell pepper & roast it in oven or on stove top along garlic.
You can boil your chickpea or use canned chickpeas. If I have time I do boil my peas because canned chickpeas boiled with a lot of baking soda.
I dont take off those transparent shells from chickpeas but just showing it in case you like to do it. It is very time consuming and I find very unnoticeable difference in texture. So why should wasting time…right (lol).
